This is simultaneously a level that needs a lot of words to explain why it's so good and also something that you can just look at and you'll understand why it's good immediately. I'm lazy as fuck so guess which one I'm picking

This level received an awful update and still manages to be one of the best ever made. how did they do it

This is the rawest level in the game.

It'll depend on how it looks when it's all done but honestly I might still prefer this version in the end because I love the way it randomly changes between a typical layout and pure insanity, same thing can be said about changing between typical impossible gp and being incomprehensible, even changing within the same part like with fnm's first part going from just "pretty weird" ship gp to an absolutely unhinged wave. There are so many little details like this that I love about this level I couldn't possibly go in depth about them all but needless to say it gets better with each rewatch.

Also I want to mention that while I'm not a big fan of Death Grips (haven't listened to much and sometimes they just sound kinda stupid) this song is amazing and there really isn't anything that could've fit this level better

This isn't quite "majacko at his best" but it is majacko's best level if that makes sense

Crack Treated Seriously

I love over-the-top bullshit. There are other levels like DIAMOND BLADE and Sakupen End which do it well in their own way, but when it comes to story levels, cw2003 GB is the only guy who's been able to pull this off naturally. His levels honestly feel like something you'd find in Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, complete with Araki's unique use of colors, and out of his levels, I think this was his best.

This is a level about freedom and repression. I'm actually glad this has near-empty segments, devoid of structures and even having auto gameplay, because it creates a feeling of freely flying up and down through an empty sky, while other times you're repressed by being stuck on the ground or trapped by a structure, the latter being made even better by the fact they're often restrictive of player movement. I also like how the ending is mostly auto but has a little set of a few extra clicks, essentially saying that even if you "win" you can't give up fighting. Also that mini block cloud-maze thing is just sick

Nothing does an uneasy atmosphere like this. Song doesn't need any explanation. Copypaste really just makes you get lost, not to mention that some of it is strangely broken. Tight unmoving corridors are pretty much the perfect gameplay for this. Black voids make it hard to tell where one of the faces watching you ends and another begins. Your only guiding lights in the predrop are sets of teeth. Little unexplained details like the "SSS" text and the red monster. This is the best horror level in the game
