His soul was sucked into the void

This is the reverse of how I feel about Overtime. For some reason, despite having over 4 million views and being neither a meme nor 2.2 clickbait, this is somehow never talked about, which is even weirder considering it's super well polished.

Obviously not all of this is the best and there are a number of rather "meh" parts, plus I have some issues with the song (The excessive autotune in Juice WRLD's verses really rubs me the wrong way), but despite all of that I still really like this.

The sync and structuring are both on point. The rapid gamemode changes fit great with the fast pace of the song, but the feel of the gameplay remains consistent enough that it never feels totally disconnected. Maybe that's just a consequence of being solo, but there are also a lot of recurring elements (black orb staircases etc). The red part really gives off this sense of "laser focus", being largely a series of simple spam challenges to go with the very basic instrumentals and unbroken rhythm in the lyrics.

Also, the wheels. I love the wheels.

I didn't even notice that the start of Iced's part was actually explicitly labelled as such inside the level until rewatching it for this review. However even without the text, you can just, tell it doesn't have the same vision Ozpectro and Akira had for this, even if it's more subtle than something like a complete change in deco. That's not to say it's horrible, but it's definitely worse. Except for the last wave, that part is good.

As for Ozpectro and Akira's parts, it's definitely on the better end for both of them. Not too much to say other than them just being solidly made with good designs and GP, especially Akira's spider and the fact the level turns blue when a watery sound plays

2016 Partition™ speakers recommended

There are a lot of "full version" remakes out there, especially of the main levels, and to me, nobody's ever done it quite like traso56. Just really solid at recreating the feel of the original main levels and adapting them to the music. Anything from Cycles onward is 7/10, but this is my favorite of them.

At least in the first half of this level, I really can't think of a better way to represent Supernova than this. Just such perfect theming that some of these parts have more or less been implanted into the community's subconscious.

The red spirals in the 1st ship just feel like they'd produce that noise in the background. The fact that the average size of them changes with volume is even more perfect. The robot and UFO also just feel right. The art also goes well with the music and I like how the lantern lights up and you instinctively go to touch it like a moth (is that just me? Like you guys do that too right?)

The ball and onwards definitely doesn't reach the same heights though, if anything the ball and the dual are kinda out of place (and also annoying to play), could've been better.

He will never Geometrical Dominator with a more serious tone

The theme should NOT work this well. It's like the colorful plains have been taken over by some evil, nefarious force with dark castles and overgrown vines, while the forces of happiness and rainbows have to survive in the skies or underground, until they come out for battle in the last couple parts.

That being said, the lack of sync in the memory part really pisses me off. I have the same problem with the original Geometrical Dominator. It's such a perfect opportunity to have every note correspond to a pulse, so why'd you half-ass it and leave infuriating gaps? The sync generally isn't anything to write home about (though I do really like the waves), but the one time where it should absolutely be the focus is all screwed up. Also the level ends at an awkward point

This level is interesting. It's a megacollab created back when flow gameplay was definitely on the rise but hadn't really "taken over" like it did later in 2020, so you end up with more or less a direct comparison between it and what I believe was a much better era of gameplay. One with much better visual sync and structuring

Yesterday, I gave this a 5/10. Didn't really get why it was so highly praised. It's got good sync, but what else?

Now, 1144 practice attempts later, I've taken a bit more of a liking to it. Still don't really get why it's this highly praised, but it's fun to navigate your way through a chaotic mess of objects. It's a lot like playing PlaTef01ngf234j egh1: You can "bypass" just about whatever you want, take "unnecessarily" hard routes, do cool tricks, and more. There's no rhyme, reason, or purpose, you can just have fun with it, y'know?

Even though the update didn't change a whole lot, it still feels clearly wrong whenever you do see a change and I can't rate this as quite as high as it would've been without that.

That aside, anything without noticeable changes is just as great as it was back in the day. Beautifully crafted designs, gameplay, and atmosphere. I don't think I could really add much that hasn't already been said
