It's got a lot of iconic parts. First few clicks, the HOW? sign, buildup, drop ship, cube copter, the MINUSwave of course, hell even the text above is recognizeable to me at least. That being said, both parts of the last cube are pretty boring and repetitive despite their iconicity. Also the unsynced pulses in the drop ship tick me off.

I would rate this higher if the otherwise interesting color usage wasn't ruined by one of the worst updates a level has gotten. There aren't many brown levels and this had a nice sort of wooden feel to a lot of parts, best described as like an unfinished minecraft house that hasn't been given proper lighting yet. Then this got updated to have a black screen over everything and it feels like someone failed at color-picking gray and didn't realize, alongside making everything else generally worse. Why would you do that

Awful and unfun gameplay. Ugly deco with noticeable visual bugs. Subpar sync. Generic. I don't really know how this ended up so bad because most of these creators are otherwise competent

The quirky effect level with default blocks that uses a popular song from outside gd. Did you guys know this uses a popular song from outside gd

I don't know how to describe the feeling this gives me. It feels like I'm being talked down to, a sense that I'm being lectured, but not really. Aside from that it's also generic and forgettable

I've seen a decent number of people say this hasn't aged well, doesn't hold up, etc. and I really just cannot agree with that. The gameplay is fun, the sync is on point, the art is great, it's iconic, man, what do I even need to say?

That was legitness

It's iconic. We all know what this is and what it represents. You can probably rebuild a lot of this from memory.

Maybe your level is fun, beautiful, unique, or whatever, but is it as cool as watching the wave squeeze its way into a space so tight the trail disappears? Probably not.

Personal bias aside, this is- NO. Fuck it. Personal bias on full display here. No objectivity in art. Of course I think this is amazing. Playing this was and still is the culmination of a weird niche hobby that basically nobody else cares about, certainly not as much as I do.

Anyway, yeah it's still good even aside from that. I love watching the player and especially the wave trail navigate through complex spam patterns in old impossible levels, especially when it's paired with intense dubstep noises like this. The sync in general has a number of highlights. Also the structuring in those parts is just on point. Perfectly utilizes its impossibility

Why did I like this level back in the day? Uhhhhh...

Yeah, it hasn't aged well. Atmosphere is alright but nothing special and the animated objects kill it in the slow part. Gameplay in each part introduces a concept but never really expands on any of them and it just gets kinda stale, especially after you've seen it so many times.

Good concept and execution. It's especially made the wr progression on this interesting to watch over the years. However aside from that this really doesn't have much to offer. Very basic deco and sync but not in a "elegant simplicity" kind of way

Absolutely beautiful atmosphere, I love it. It reminds me of looking up at the stars peeking out from behind clouds when I lived in a more rural area. I could stay here for ages, just staring at-

WE INTERRUPT THIS PROGRAM TO GIVE AN EMERGENCY GAMEPLAY WARNING: MINUSWAVES, FAST STRAIGHT FLY, MIRROR PORTALS, AND CRAZY UP AND DOWN MOVEMENTS ARE ALL RAPIDLY APPROACHING. SEEK SHELTER IMMEDIATELY AND TURN ON SPEEDHACK.

Why do you gotta do this? No I understand you wanna make it top 1, but surely there must've been a better way? Like can't you just make it slower but tighter? It's not like that would've been too hard to do, right?

Also how the fuck did you screw up the sync like this. Like did a speed portal get moved by accident or something

Already talked about this before, so in short: it's really tough to make something simultaneously interesting to look at and hard to see, and this isn't something that manages to break through that
