This is the only thing that's really recreated the same "Lovecraftian comedy" vibe that Exasperation has while also having sync in the same general tier
My mango, is to blow up, and then act like I don't know nobody ehhahahaha
I think I speak for everyone when I say I'm glad that this stupid song doesn't exist anymore
Aside from that though this is still a generic NC level, but at least it's not a generic NC level with bad music. Also the Megumin pixel art sucks
One of Cuts' weaker levels. I think a lot of that is because the icon moves in a lot of unjustified straight lines, be it dash orbs, straight fly, or tunnels. That being said this has one of the best individual shake triggers ever put to use in that last wave.
There's something more important than reaching the end.
I wanna directly compare this to another famous lost level: Element 111 Rg.
E111Rg's restoration took years of research. Every new Stormfly video on it gave it continued relevance throughout the ages. Wrong turns and nonsense throughout. As more parts were unveiled, some became iconic for their difficulty, strange gameplay, or even their association with specific players.
ICTX was also long sought-after, has major difficulty spikes, and while not as weird as E111Rg, the gameplay certainly isn't like most levels. The difference is that it didn't have a long and interesting journey attached to its restoration. It was anticlimactic, simply roadbose coming back and building it from memory without any previews or prior announcements.
I like talking about specific parts in obscure levels and pretending like people would understand wtf I'm saying
A lot of this level isn't anything special, and a decent chunk of this level straight up sucks, but man the 1st and 3rd cubes are just sooo good. Regardless of your icon colors I can at least imagine the atmosphere is gonna stay amazing (partly because it's so simple), and the bit of floating in the 1st cube before you drop down in sync with the music is such a great little detail.

There are a lot of "full version" remakes out there, especially of the main levels, and to me, nobody's ever done it quite like traso56. Just really solid at recreating the feel of the original main levels and adapting them to the music. Anything from Cycles onward is 7/10, but this is my favorite of them.
