"Golden Hope" is a level made by Magpipe and more people as an april fool joke. Its an homage to the MLG era, with a lot of references to iconic memes plastered all around the place. It's such a breath of fresh air thematically as a sort of reminder how chaotic yet creative that era was.

I'm the biggest hater of this level's gameplay. Its such a shame it turned out as how it is because the base gameplay seems SUPER fun to play, but its so sacrificed by the chaotic nature of the level. Just beat the level about five minutes ago and maybe im writing this review out of spite but what a god awful experience. Some parts felt like a gamble to beat because you can't even SEE what you're doing.

On the visual aspect this level is awesome. Again the theme is a blast from the past and the arts are super polished meanwhile the effects go wild in the background. It creates a sense of balance between clean and messy that is very appealing to the eye. Maybe the first part doesnt fit with the rest of the level which, pretty disappointed at Mato (or Mag if he was the creative director) for making it kind of empty, a bad first look, but also fine as it is.

You can tell I'm very mixed on this level, mainly because of the gameplay.

I'm gonna start off this review by saying I'm disappointed with some of y'all reviewers for not separating the art from the artist on your scores/reviews. This type of behaviour will only get opinions driven by hate which will only end up worse or straight up not aging well. With all that said lets get into an actual review.

"Bulan" is a level created some days ago by AmorAltra, who is a pretty controversial creator who got exposed some years ago for... being mistreatful to his workers, talking inappropiately to minors and drawing porn of minors' ocs iirc? Correct me if im wrong or if i'm missing something though. It is obviously a fucked up and unforgiving thing to do and AmorAltra is a horrible person for all of this as much as talented as he is aswell. Into the level, shall we.

Gameplay is fine, although it has some slight chokepoints, such as bad transitions and almost blind inputs which makes up for a worse experience as a playable level. The deco is pretty fire though. I've always liked Amor's artstyle when it comes to Geometry Dash. This level has a ton of good ideas and designs that work pretty well together too. I think this might be a delayed space gauntlet contest entry since it is very space-themed but idk. If it is, it's probably too simple to get in the top 20s. I just think this level is cool. Amor might not be a lovely person (Although I've heard he's changing for the better now, which is always great to hear), but that doesnt change the fact this level is pretty solid.

"Rest In Peace" is a level created by PICAAAAAA almost 4 years ago as a form of...... tribute to the death of Michigun???? It is pretty unclear what the true intentions of this level were but nevertheless, a tribute is a tribute, so I'll have to give that in Pica's defense. Still a pretty shady memorial tho.

Since everyone's been complaining about this level here I decided to give it a shot myself and I found out I already beat this??? Maybe it was in a stargrinding session back in the day but I did not remember this level. Gameplay is boring and deco is flashy but generic. I cant really comment any further.

My issue with this being a tribute to the death of Michigun isnt actually that it is made to farm creator points or whatever, it's the fact that there's nothing reminiscent of Michigun's legacy. Rest In Peace is not a "Temple of Time" by DavJT or, more underground, a "Three Years" by Geomaniac. The level is just generic and does not do anything that serves as a tribute aside of some random bland and neutral may I say texts.

All I can say now is that I'm glad we've seen Pica grow up creatively from this and I'm sure this is just one bad apple among his levels. A REALLY bad one though.

I dont want to be harsh on this because there's nothing inherintly wrong about the level, it is just not good.

"too kiD frIEndly" is a level created by ExtoPlasm, a creator known for having made some horror levels such as this and "Mr CrazyHands", a better level in my opinion, that was made BEFORE this.

This level is just funny. The name showing the word "DIE" with CAPS is pretty original actually, although maybe it could be executed better. Same can be applied to the whole level in general.

Gameplay is alright. It is unfairly sacrificed for visual purposes in some parts hence the low rating in that aspect aswell, but it is not that bad in general regardless. Visuals....... oh boy. This level is, as I said, another attempt from the creator at shock-value horror and it is, SO BAD. Generic story, happy creatures turn out to be evil. Its just as painfully predictable as it sounds. Theres some moments where it can be genuinely gorey and gruesome to look at (in the good way), which I respect, but again, its just showing all this for cheap shock value.

There's nothing more I can say about this level. Bit overhated? Kind off.... I mean the creator tried to be scary, which didnt succeed but at least it did not turn out THAT horrible as some may say. I just wish that ExtoPlasm took a bit more time for everything about this level to be..... executed better. Yeah, a 3 is a pretty valid score for this level.

"experiment" is a level hosted by experimental (pun intended) creator mbed and created by other pretty unconventional creators such as pocke, serponge and lumpy. This level was a massive hit when it came out, being uploaded by viprin in an event level-style upload, right after its release if you know what I mean. It even got into the 2024 gd awards nomination as best classic easy-medium demon, which i dont remember the exact name of the nomination or which place it got but you get how huge of an achievement it is nonetheless.

This level presents a really interesting concept in the table, which is acting like an infinite puzzle with different stages that you need to get in order to pass to the next stage. Although this level gets the idea and does it in an original way, i dont think its executed the best. There is a lot of inconsistency with the puzzles, with some of them being way too forgiving with its task and others being stupidly difficult. Visuals might not be the best, but its not really an issue when the levels main point is the gameplay. Still wish it didnt feel a bit unpolished most of the time though.

Every End is a level by Mindcap and more popular creators, verified by HQMY and released about less than a week ago. Ive seen a hell LOT of praise for it, and it got rated yesterday, which I really like and agree. It's always enjoyable to see levels that stand out for being unconventional and trying new stuff ending up recieving rates.

This level is...... alright. I can't really judge the gameplay because its wayyy out the league for me. The concept at the start is cool but then it is really just a 1.0 level with a foreshadowing effect that keeps going on for too long and it makes me wanna ask, was it necessary to bring up this many reknown creators for this? It seems kinda pointless to me but its not really a bad thing at all. It just gets boring 3 or 4 minutes in.

Not giving in a 0 because I find it impressive that someone could add 2520 levels in a single editor even though its stolen

Since people are giving this level low ratings without explaining why or straight up bullshitting on it, Ive decided to make an ACTUAL review of the level.

Rage Quit is a level made by one of the most reknown creators as of now, bli. This was made for Waboo’s Stereo Madness remake content which ended up being 1st place and recieving a 1000$ cash prize for it. Does recieving Money affect the level? Not really. Intent shouldn’t  be something to look up to when judging art, unless it’s immoral, which its not in this case.

Now lets get tinto the level itself. Gameplay wise its just nerfed stereo madness but more confusing. Funnily enough, this level doesnt apply to the argument that robtop would give stereo madness a hard difficulty, which didnt happen here. Difficulty doesnt match the rating of Rage Quit unfortunately, especially the split screen part where you need to look at the center of the screen while the other screens get crushed without any warning whatsoever.

Decoration wise its incredible, although sometimes the execution might be questionable. The theming goes around a man raging to stereo madness and altering reality between real life and geometry dash. I may not have explained it well but it is a good theming for a level. The problem comes when theres parts like the ship going through different screens in a movie-type of way where it is pretty unclear why does it do that, or the end with a fuckass hand showing up as a result of the antagonist trying to catch the cube, which ends up being as the generic section as it sounds.

All in all, Rage Quit is not perfect, it has flaws and thats alright. I may say its overrated asf and overhated asf at the same time and its pretty sad to see that theres no point in between that and its hard to see an actual healthy point of view between the community in regards to this level.

Copy pasted from a review server where im a reviewer (lol)

No bias since ive playtested this level.

This is one of the simpler gauntlet entries out of the cast and surely a good contender for a top 20 but i honestly cant see it being pushed further and I wouldnt even be surprised if it doesnt end up making it to the top. The CC has pushed a ridiculously high boundary for the standard and the level kinda lived up for it at some point, but now I think it might not be enough.

With the gauntlet out of the way imma talk the level itself. The gameplay is not bad. Sometimes it can be unclear what kills you and what doesnt but its pretty standard for a potential harder. Decoration is cartoonishly simple, with clean artsy structures, fun little characters, impressive transitions and pretty intricate backgrounds that makes for a great visual experience
