Rating Curve

A lot of missed potential here. The sharp, contrasting designs in the middle are lovely, and the first part of the drop is just normal enough to still be readable, but the second half bothers me a tad bit. I don't think it would have been completely impossible to forgo the jump indicators here, it would just have taken some clever structuring and color choices. Aside from that, the level could really have used an extra section at the end where the player can calm down; right now, the level just cuts off at the most climactic part.

This level isn't afraid to change up its difficulty to suit the song, though whether that actually makes the level better is a matter of debate. Nevertheless, I appreciate the bravery. If this was submitted to a level request stream in today's climate, it would just barely pass for a rate send.

Edit: I WAS TALKING ABOUT SENDS, NOT RATES! AS IN A LEVEL REQUEST STREAM!!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH PLEASE LEARN TO READ I mean, as I was saying in the first sentence of the review, the level has inconsistent difficulty at parts, which seems to be a sticking point for many moderators, and may prevent this perfectly fine level from being sent, in a hypothetical situation where Presta is an unknown creator submitting this level to request streams in the year 2025. Obviously RobTop would probably rate this if it got through to him! That's not what I'm talking about here! LEARN TO READ

This level has roughly the same unfortunate aura as Jorge Luis Borges' short story The Garden of Forking Paths: an undoubtedly novel work, whose central conceit has been done to death so hard that it sullies the original work by mere association. I look at Amaya and see in it the nascent form, now defiled, of every daily level ever made.
