WOOGI levels are consistently radiant with joy, and colorful overnight is a prime example of this, certain impactful clicks are almost celebratory in nature, from the duals movements, I am reminded of that of a party poppers contents, explosive, and a symbol of pure happiness. The song is nothing short of amazing and compliments the euphoria which dissipates from colorful overnight. I get chills watching this level, what a vibe it is. In regards the visuals, they're beautiful, the transluscent block use is a great detail and makes the level seem like it is alive, it adds a shine to the level which otherwise wouldn't be present. The use of the monochromatic build up in order to make the colours of the next part pop make the level feel so unique and create an awesome experience. Despite it's age colorful overnight still holds up as one of the best levels in existence. I just wish it was longer and had more time to it's disposal to have the emotional effects of the level last longer.
A level full of life and personality. Despite being made back in 2.0, the decoration still holds up. The level is reminiscent of simpler times, when one had to express through the use of gameplay and structuring more than through the use of intricate block designs. The duals are reflective of the songs upbeat nature and you can tell WOOGI had lots of fun creating them. Great, classic level.
An inoffensive remake built purely for the sake of difficulty. Gameplay choices are nice, and are rather representative of the song in parts, particularly in the second half. Not much to say about this level, mostly forgettable.
Cool quirky gameplay and dual gimmicks, but is ultimately a hexagon force remake. The gameplay which is too close to that of Hexagon Force's add up to a point where i'm more inclined to dislike the level, I'm not a fan of the copy someone's level and make it into a joke gimmick personally. Some parts feel disjointed, particularly the dual robot part, and the monochromatic ship at the end of the level feels tremendously out of place. Despite the array of things I dislike about the level, the gameplay is enough for me to give it a 5/10.
A great memory level with cool gameplay choices and gimmicks which heighten the levels personality and give it it's own stylistic identity. The parts are memorable and the tranquil vibe of this level makes experiencing it truly enjoyable. Personally, I think the level suffers from being too short, and lacks some atmospheric qualities that darker levels have, primarily due to the lack of a tonal shift in the song. Very awesome level that I have to nitpick in order to criticise.
Awesome theming, with a cool gimmick to accompany it. Puts a whole spin on the memory level genre, but the fact that using a calculator is the most optimal completion technique means the gimmick wasn't executed perfectly. Whizkid's completion without a calculator, and him explaining his method made for a much more entertaining experience than the primary method. The atmosphere of the level is so representative of the ninja theme and this level is a 9/10 aside from the issues regarding the memorisation gimmick.
An iconic, classic impossible level. Silent Club serves as a museum for this classic style, and is a major part of the games history. Some gimmicks used in the impossible gameplay are interesting, and make for a cool level. The unbalanced nature of the level, the sole difficulty being the spam in the middle make the level a great tension builder, as it is a "dont choke" level. Awesome to watch, but is fundamentally just an impossible level.
Boring generic glow slop level purely made for difficulty, and decorated for the only reason being to have it be placed on the list. The only parts that are somewhat memorable and evoke any sort of emotion are the dual part and the ship part towards the end of the level with the moving saw blades. Kappa is in no way part of the level ofher than the endscreen and the title, this sentiment is like the Breaking Bad trilogy in that sense.
An awesome joke level, satirising the idea of generic levels and gameplay. no jokes is a huge fuck you to creator point standards and embraces it's own personality in the latter half of the level. Some if the best song representation in any level, and using a generic art style contrasted with a unique expressionistic art style in order represent the same sort of dynamic in the song is an awesome gimmick that gives no jokes am awesome personality. The sentiment it is perpetuating being one I heavily agree with.
Stylistically unique and thematically consistent. The fever dream esque style perfectly reflects the title, LD50 (the amount of a substance that would kill 50% of the population should it be consumed) the level feels like you are on an acid trip of sorts, the messy decoration reflective of one's tarnished cognitive abilities as a consequence of poison, symbolic of a sort of mind fog that is common whilst under the influence. Truly ethereal level to experience.
