Incredibly repetitive deco for a level of this length, and the gameplay ranges from filler to misery. Even if this were better, I don’t think it would be great until Rob adds persistent checkpoints, which would remove the only difficult thing about this level. Though yes, I can admit this does teach you How to platformer.
(Also, this does not affect my score, but a level this simple having this many objects is sad. You could save so many by moving the outer parts of the room with triggers.)
This is one of the biggest losses regarding banned songs, not just because the song is goofy but because the level’s theme makes pretty much no sense otherwise. Still a fun romp though.
find the answer is really strange, but the song representation is on point and the incredibly unique drop gameplay is mesmerizing.
Dead Of Night has some cool things, but is unfortunately very held back by Geometry Dash itself. It’s fun to grab some popcorn and watch, but the object count and lack of persistent checkpoints makes a level with this large of a scope pretty much unplayable for most, including myself. The fact that just opening it can crash even 2.207 should have immediately been considered a code red catastrophe by the team.
This is so insanely [INSERT EARLY 2.1 HERE] that I could not tell you much about this level aside from the purple starry part, which is the only decent-looking part, yet feels disconnected from the others.
Should have leaned into the Panasonic thing more besides a dragged-out endscreen; it would have given this level some character that it desperately needs.
This is below average even for early 1.9, featuring the same gray color scheme for 78 seconds and a degree of copypaste you would typically only see in a Flappy Bird level — funny considering this creator uploaded one of those just six days later. The blind orbs don’t help, either. The thought of this essentially being a rated easy wave challenge is interesting, though, and this level’s mediocrity has ironically made it stick in my head more than some newer levels I’ve completed.
Avernus gives me very mixed feelings. I have no idea what to make of it, but I don’t dislike it as much as some other people. I’ve heard some victors enjoy it in spite of its fixed hitboxes, which is nice.
