It's so good man. I love how many interesting things it does with the cube, the icon movements feel fierce and aggressive and captures the tone of the level really well, and it's just so fun and satisfying to pull off. It's also probably the best rendition of the traditional glitch effect, it genuinely feels like it's spiraling more and more out of your control with each passing step, the last part manages to wind down the level and be the most tense part of the level at the same time, the structures wobbling out of control creates such a strong feeling of fear, UGH i just love this level so much Sminx is so talented and I truly do miss them
this is a technically a remake of segmentation fault if you squint #notbreakingcharacter
Also, hijacking this review because writing this down kind of opened my eyes. It was kind of silly to try to give every level a separate gameplay rating and visuals rating in the first place but when thinking about the last part of this level, it would literally not be the same gameplay if it didn't look the way it did! These things are intertwined and need to work with each other, and separating them is impossible, so I'm not adding the extra ratings to my stuff anymore.

I’m in love with the concept of fully realizing ideas that were never fully baked in the past, Rearmed comes to mind heavily. This level is so charming, so stylish, so unique, it’s so clear where the influences of the original shine through but the JamAttack flavor heightens it to something the original never could’ve been.
Pretty snazzy level. Reminds me a lot of what omega cosmos tried to do but this level feels like it can stand on its own a lot better. I wish the gameplay was expanded upon more, there is a lot you can do with the simple gameplay aesthetic that DORABAE used a lot, but it's still a very fun and neat rendition.
Already an uninspiring blob of red mess, the fact that this was a stolen collab version of a level that's 10 times better is the cherry on top. There's nothing redeemable about this level at all. It ruins anything Necropolis had built up, the gameplay is the usual grandpa demon Riot bullshit, and to top it all off it has severe megacollab syndrome. This would have no reason to exist as a standalone level, but its existence as a spinoff of a far superior version of the same level really nails in the coffin.
At least it tried something different with the gameplay. Otherwise this is just a usual glow style NC level, one with the Sonic Wave stench at that.
Very interesting! I love the level’s progression and stylization and spinning Acropolis in this direction makes a ton of sense. I wish there was better representation of Aztec culture but as it stands, it’s very fun and I felt extremely immersed in the environment.
Fairly interesting way of doing a remake, I think the idea of the earlier parts being minor touches and it gets closer to a complete overhaul as you get to the end of the level is cool on paper. In practice, this level doesn't differentiate itself enough from alpha cosmos to justify its existence as its own work.
