"Eh, maybe I'm just not good enough at the game yet, I'll come back to this someday" No, no the chokepoints really were that bad, in fact. All of them were.
It's a pretty good level, really, I like the deco, it's just that one ship gap and that one miniwave and that one transition and that timing and that other miniwave and that dual and that other dual and that other timing. Plus or minus something I might not remember the proper difficulty of (listen it's been a while).
It's honestly not even the fact that there are chokepoints, it's that they're randomly scattered throughout the level and you have to constantly practice different sets of a few clicks to have any hope of a satisfying run. It's not the fun kind of unbalanced.
No one will shed a tear for him.
It's a real shame this has a couple ugly parts in it that drag the whole thing down because there are a lot of cool concepts and neat details in here. I like how the color palette changes along with the song while still retaining the hell theme, even if the actual usage of those colors isn't the best. The whole level is pretty well synced with 46-48 and Trusta's part being highlights. I also really like the magic circle structures in Zundex's part. I wish Obliviscetur's remake layout got decorated, or that Meatius would've actually gone through with getting an update/whatever he said on that one stream done for this.
Shake trigger abuse? In 2023?
The main reason the original silent acro was great was the gameplay, so you'd think I wouldn't mind a redeco that much, and yet...
It's mainly the fact that everything is so animated. Acropolis was completely lifeless, not undead.
Nice theme and visuals and structures but this sucks to play
Good but not great, forever ruined creating afterwards (not really, but I like to pretend it did)
this shit probably funny af
Honestly one of the best autos out there. Partially because it's probably funny af, and also funny af in a different way if you don't speak korean.
I'm going to hack this level >:)
On one hand, absolutely incredible bit. I thought I had a decent idea what this level was gonna be like when I saw the angel pop up, but nope, not in the slightest. Extremely funny.
On the other hand, this really could've been executed better. Aside from most of the gameplay and deco not being anything too special, the main issue is the song. Like really? Clubstep? Why? I get that any song which could go super well with the joke is inevitably going to spoil it, and yeah it fits the red parts fine, but it just feels too intense for any of the blue parts. I don't know what I'd choose for the song if I made this, but surely there's something better?
Every man has 2 fantasies
One of them came true today
Completely different (and much better) feeling than the original Wcropolis. A lot of that is the song obviously, but it's also the gameplay. In fact, the song change is matched by the gameplay really well. Also there are two specific highlights I want to mention:
First and last waves: Instead of simply spamming on through a corridor, it's the same structure but converted into timings, somehow. Simply adding tiny sawblades completely changes how you approach it, and the way you approach it is also something you rarely see, especially at the time.
3x speed ship: Typically, the less intense portion of the level/song is slow, and the more intense portion is fast, right? This flips that on its head and does that perfectly. The whole first half of this level is filled with slow, tight gameplay that grinds away at you with restricted movement. Then the drop ends, and you suddenly speed up and fly up and down without restraint. It's otherworldly.
Also yes, of course the difficulty (and especially the fact it took so long to get rated) affects my opinion of this level.
"Only reason it's remembered?" Yeah, and it makes it more memorable!
