Pretty snazzy level. Reminds me a lot of what omega cosmos tried to do but this level feels like it can stand on its own a lot better. I wish the gameplay was expanded upon more, there is a lot you can do with the simple gameplay aesthetic that DORABAE used a lot, but it's still a very fun and neat rendition.
It’s alright I guess. It's pretty annoying to play.
I actually like the new "bossfight" interacting with the level a lot, but this level is insanely unbalanced and disgusting to play. Also, another case of a solo remade as a megacollab where the worst parts drag down the quality of the best parts, near perfect buildup just for the climax to be a bog-standard gradientxxd part...
I don't think GrenadeOfTacos' usual semi-core style works well for a Decode revision, there's way too much going on at any given point in the level save for like the ball. 0:31 especially is insanely busy to the detriment of the level. There are still some great ideas generated, the spikes in the slow wave being cones is hilarious, and Pennutoh almost always makes really fun stuff.
Metalface always makes impeccable gameplay and this one is no exception. Extremely fun, extremely consistent, extremely well put together gameplay wise, but ultimately it's an overdone Nine Circles level and one that doesn't bring anything interesting aside from the original very much.
It genuinely looks nice and does build on concepts in Electrodynamix well, but I can't help but feel like this level fails to capture any of the frenetic energy that permeated the original. Also, I have no idea what's going on with Nikrodox's part, it just feels completely out of place.
The gameplay is really fun but it just saps all the vibes that Death Moon created. There's a lot of thoughtless use of religious symbolism without much cohesion and that kills a lot of the atmosphere that was executed to perfection by the original.
Actually a pretty good parody to be honest. It doesn't take itself all that seriously and feels made to take the piss out of the other existing remakes. But it's still a Sonic Wave remake...
At the time this level released I felt it was amazing but time has not served it well at all. The decoration leaves much more of a "wow, that was a lot of red" in your head rather than something memorable, however the new ideas are nice and it still ultimately flows well and feels cohesive despite being a megacollab. Unfortunately, the gameplay doesn't hold up at all. Most of it remains the same without much idea injection, and the few new parts feel extremely mismatched with the vibe of the original--especially the extension.
