Its a remake, most of Sakupen Circles' identity rested in its status as an impossible level. Nerfing the most iconic part and one of the most iconic parts in all of GD impossible level culture just to make it a top 1 is upsetting and cowardly. Would be higher if we were talking about unnerfed SKC, but nevertheless, it is still just a nine circles clone made by a child. The redeco is unneccessary and only exists to get the level rated, which is also cowardly. There was no reason to appeal to the game dev other than to have the level appear on the demonlist.
Heartbeat is a good level with good song representation, the way the gameplay and the song refelect a hearbeat is cool, and once more KrmaL's gimmicky gameplay offers a unique experience. Not my favourite KrmaL level, however I can see why some people have that view.
The level is a bad april fools joke. I appreciate the song in some places but Boom Kitty is in no way relevant to the GD community, you have made a financial deal with the games creator, and thats all you are. The deco is generic and I really do not care about the level at all. Purely exists to get views from children on Viprin or Nexus' channels. The definition of corporate slop, both the song and the level.
I really appreciate effect styled levels, Cold Sweat is climactic in the wave part and rhe ending cube is a stylistic finale. In my view the gameplay represents the song quite well. Cold Sweat is not amazing, but can be considered to be a good level.
So many years of work, culminates into utter garbage. Blatantly stole a series of iconic levels and gave it slop decoration. This level has no redeeming qualities. Remakes almost always suck, APTeam should use their skill in the editor to make something unique and awesome rather than regurgitating already existing popular levels with a modern make-over.
Sunset Sandstorm is a great example of song representation, the predrop builds great tension and the climax of the drop is great. It is a copy of Black Blizzard, but using that to knock off too many points is unfair considering its transformative take on the idea of the journey, through a very similar part structure to Black Blizzard. I enjoy the gimmicky nature of the gameplay style, it makes it feel fresh compared to other levels. The description of the level "Feel the burn." is perfectly fitting in my view as the viewer does get an odd, warm feeling when whitnessing the level, showing its prowess as an artpiece in moving a viewer. If it was completely unique it would be a 10/10 in my view.
This may seem like an oxymoron, however Thinking Space's strength, in my view, is how terrible it is. Since the level is so unbelievably old, the creators could not create something generic, as they had no idea as to what "good gameplay" would be once the levels verification became plausible. The gameplay they made is unique and the atmosphere of the level can only be described as "raw", and having a certain unique charm and personality to it.
Falling up utilises verticallity in a unique and awesome way, the levels theme is obvious, and the song is represented perfectly in the climactic dual section. Something I have always appreciated about KrmaL's work is how gameplay is used to create atmosphere, and I believe more creators should persue this, levels primarily focus on creating a world through technical prowess, which in the modern day, falling up is unexpectedly behind in, Falling Up also succeeds in telling a story through the means of the Geometry Dash editor, it is a journey, similar to that of Black Blizzard. The level truly portrays a sense of determination and pure joy which I truly appreciate, as how much emotion a level can make me feel is largely how I rate it. Falling Up holds up as one of the best works to ever see this game.
Nhelv is an example of key dangling done right, an atmospheric marvel that prides itself in it's own personal spin on the music video it takes it's inspiration from, the mountain part is iconic for a reason, the break part of the song is a perfect build up for whats to come, and the level culminates in a climactic ending. If Nhelv was completely original, it would be a 10/10 from me, however the level is held up on crutches by the artistic masterclass that is the Nhelv music video, the question is, would Nhelv be as good as it is without the strength of the music video to rely on?
Removed Submission prides itself in it's song representation, the gameplay reflecting the lyrics (spam) is a nice touch that really helps build the levels identity. The level being themed around newgrounds itself is very unique and frankly awesome in my view. The ironically comedic nature of both the song and level makes the level a lot of fun to experience.
